Field Shooting: let the real-world learning begin!

This week the TV students ventured out into the world beyond the walls of NSRT to cover some news stories.  Some covered stories on gas prices, some ATM fees, others the fine for handicapped parking violations.  They shot b-roll and got some sound bytes from the public, but most of all they all learned a LOT!  Interacting with the public is always an experience but add to it a video camera and a microphone and the students always come back with amusing stories!  Here is an example of one of the finished pieces.  This one was shot and edited by Matt in the morning class (it was a VHS linear dub so please excuse the resolution) :-)
